Finally got around to pushing into the website for this year’s BBQ. Prepping to cook a whole hog over wood on a spit gave me an idea to spin the famous line from the movie Clash of the Titans. I give you… www.releasethecracklins.com

The site contains all the information for the annual BBQ party at the end of this month. The page let me try out some new jQuery techniques and experiment with PNG24s. The sticky header and footer were easy enough to lock down but I never did get my main content DIV set up the way I had hoped. In the interest of time, I had to scramble and come up with adding thumbnails as section separators to help the box slide into proper position. I’ve still got one other navigation element to insert but its up for now.

I do think there are some issues with the top navigation elements. I think I may need to pull/copy the href attribute out the interior anchor and dupe it to the parent list item. I’ve noticed that if I click the edges the link doesn’t register. The toggleClass animation I wanted to try still works, but not the scrollTo hook. No bueno.
